Job Detail: Project Developer

Description:

Walker Elliott is working with a startup clean energy company in Houston and they are looking to hire a Project Developer.

Responsibilities:

• Progress development of wind and solar projects
• Assisting with community outreach and other stakeholder management activities
• Perform business development activities to identify possible partners, consultants, and vendors
• Conduct land, market, regulatory, and related project research
• Compile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits for solar projects at the local, state, and federal level
• Identify and organize the development of wind and solar projects by utilizing GIS software tools
• Prepare renewable energy project financial models, pro-forma, and complete financial analysis
• Analyze renewable energy project developments utilizing tools such as OpenWind and PVsys

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Required: Based in Houston, Texas but has the ability and flexibility to travel to project sites located in Texas and other locations as required for business needs for short and extended period (up to 25-50%)
• 3+ years professional experience in greenfield Solar Energy development in ERCOT
• Experience with PVsys or similar Solar Energy analysis Software
• Experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS software
• Experience developing financial models and pro-forma
