Description:
Walker Elliott is working with an upstream oil and gas company in Midland, TX, to hire a Drilling Manager. The company boasts premier assets in the Permian and an active drilling program. As Drilling Manager, you'll design, plan, and execute drilling operations, ensuring efficiency and safety. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, leveraging your expertise in drilling techniques and technologies. The company offers excellent STI and LTI, top benefits, and a hybrid work schedule.
Position Summary:
Manage drilling engineering and operations, ensuring project alignment with business goals in safety, cost-effectiveness, and production optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead drilling teams and oversee project management.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary projects and communicate results.
- Stay updated on technologies for improved efficiency and safety.
- Provide budget input and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
- Offer on-call support and conduct field visits.
- Ensure high ethical standards and safety in decision-making.
Skills & Experience:
- Advanced knowledge in drilling, completions, and production.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry software (Wellview, Power BI, Spotfire).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
