Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive title examinations and draft original drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions.
- Provide title-related support on significant transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, and farmouts.
- Identify and resolve title defects and manage curative processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform due diligence on property acquisitions, confirming ownership rights and resolving complex title issues.
- Collaborate closely with land departments and clients to address title discrepancies and ensure clarity in mineral ownership.
Qualifications
- J.D. degree with 3+ years of experience in oil and gas title examination.
- Licensed to practice law in Texas. Multiple states preferred
- Proficiency in curative processes, title opinions, due diligence, and transaction support.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
