We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join a growing Investor Relations (IR) team in the private equity sector. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an engineering background to transition into the finance and investor relations field. The IR team is small but dynamic, and the role offers the chance to provide essential support in a variety of functions, from project management and client outreach to capital formation and investor communications.

As an Investor Relations Associate, you will work closely with the head of the IR team to assist with investor communications, presentations, sales generation, project coordination, and more. While prior IR experience is not required, a strong interest in capital formation, private equity, and investor relations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in project management and sales generation for capital formation initiatives.
  • Support investor relations activities, including client outreach, presentation creation, and organization of meetings and calls.
  • Conduct research and create content for investor communications, including reports, emails, and presentations.
  • Assist with investor data management, including client requests and capital calls.
  • Support the development of marketing materials and investor reports.
  • Manage internal communications and collaborate with other teams to streamline processes.
  • Help drive strategic initiatives related to energy, power generation, and energy transition.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Engineering or similar technical degree from a top-tier institution
  • Experience: 3+ years of work experience in the E&P industry
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
    • Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a proactive, inquisitive nature.
  • Interest: A keen interest in capital formation, investor relations, and private equity. Previous knowledge of IR or finance is not required.
  • Location: Must be based in Houston or willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in capital formation or investor relations.
  • Exposure to private equity, investment banking, or similar financial services sectors.
  • Research experience with platforms such as Preqin, Dakota, or Pitchbook.
