Description:
A respected private E&P company in West Houston is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lease Analyst to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of land and lease-related projects while contributing to the success of a thriving organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, interpret, and input oil and gas leases, land contracts, and related agreements into the company's land management system.
- Establish and maintain accurate records for wells, units, and agreements, ensuring consistency and compliance across systems.
- Handle updates to agreements, including amendments, releases, and expirations, to keep records current and complete.
- Support the Land team by managing payment requests, processing election notices, and tracking key deadlines.
- Verify and document payment terms and obligations, such as rentals, royalties, and surface damages, ensuring proper setup in the system.
- Maintain accurate acreage and ownership data for company holdings.
- Respond to inquiries related to lease records and collaborate with the Owner Relations team as needed.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks to support department goals.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in a Lease Analyst or related land role.
- Expertise in land management software; experience with LandVantage or BOLO is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of data and documents.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a strong drive to succeed.
- Must be available to work on-site five days a week.
