IT Infrastructure Manager - Hands-On
This hands-on leader with work for a Global Manufacturing company based in the DFW area offering a hybrid work schedule. This must be a technical leader with systems, cloud and network experience. You will manage a team of about 10 full-time employees plus contractors as needed.
Requirements:
- 7+ years technical experience in Networking and Systems/Server
- Experience in Storage, VMware, CISCO Networking, SD-WAN/SASE, Active Directory, Windows, Messaging, Exchange, SQL Server, Cloud (O365, Azure)
- 2+ years of leadership experience in personnel/budget management, policy implementation, strategy, design & execution
- Strong Microsoft O365 and Azure skills
- Networking concepts: CISCO, firewalls/VPN, ISP/WAN/SD-WAN
- Server management: Windows, VMware, Veeam Backup
- Windows administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, SQL Server, Patch Management
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical interactions
- Desirable Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) in Windows server, Cloud Platform & Infrastructure
- CompTIA Security+
- ITIL/PMP, TOGAF Architecture
Responsibilities:
- You will be a hands-on technical lead in Networking while managing local/global IT staff and third-party IT partners
- Partner with Managed Services Providers (MSPs) and develop strategic plans and designs
- Manage telecom expenses with TEM provider for wirelines and wireless
- Collaborate with Managed XDR and Managed SIEM security providers to maintain cybersecurity
- Develop/update security, operations, and infrastructure policies
- Oversee global infrastructure strategy, design, engineering, architecture, security, and maintenance
- Present recommendations to senior management
- Lead migration of global systems/infrastructure to Cloud (O365, Azure)
- Maintain application/server performance through policy implementation, monitoring, optimization, and working with MSPs and operations teams
- Create policies and procedures for equipment use, application use, change management, incident management, and compliance
- Manage hardware/software performance on physical/virtual servers and day-to-day infrastructure operations
- Ensure quality network and server/storage deployments through scripted processes
- Define compliance policies for data center hardware/operating systems
- Develop strategies for Cloud Backups, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery
- Plan and manage infrastructure projects from start to finish
- Define and manage IT Infrastructure and Telecom budget
