Job Opportunity: M365 Senior Cloud Engineer (6-Month Contract)
Location: Hybrid Schedule
Contract Length: 6+ Months
Start Date: Immediate
Are you an experienced M365 Cloud Engineer with a passion for optimizing cloud environments and leading seamless migrations? We're looking for a Senior M365 Cloud Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract to support a high-impact M365 migration project.
About the Role:
As the Senior M365 Cloud Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our Microsoft 365 cloud solutions. You'll work alongside a collaborative team to ensure our migration and ongoing operations are secure, efficient, and scalable. This is a hands-on role with a strategic edge-ideal for someone who enjoys both solving complex problems and defining best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of M365 cloud solutions during the migration project.
- Optimize M365 configurations for performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for all M365 services.
- Establish and enforce best practices for M365 administration and use.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate M365 with other enterprise tools and systems.
- Conduct system audits and produce reports on performance, usage, and compliance.
- Stay current with the latest updates and features across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Offer training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on M365 functionality.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing and optimizing Microsoft 365 environments.
- Deep expertise in the M365 suite: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.
- Proven experience with M365 migrations and deployments.
- Strong skills in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Strong foundation in networking and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (or equivalent).
