Description:
Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Our client, a leader in automation is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who's passionate about quality and automation. This new hire will build and maintain automated test frameworks, ensuring the software is reliable, scalable, and bug-free. The work is cross-functional with developers, product managers, and QA team members in an agile environment-balancing hands-on coding with collaborative problem-solving.
If you're experienced in C#, testing tools, and continuous integration, and you care about both quality and efficiency, this could be a great fit.
Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable, reliable automated test frameworks using C# and related tools.

Write test cases for UI and API layers; automate functional, regression, and integration tests.

Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).

Work alongside developers to validate new features early in the development cycle.

Help track down tricky bugs-file, document, and follow through to resolution.

Participate in code reviews for test automation and support troubleshooting when needed.

Contribute to agile ceremonies and support quality-first thinking across the team.

Mentor others on automation best practices and continuously look for ways to improve.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field-or equivalent hands-on experience.

More than 3 years in a QA/SDET role focused on C# automation in a Windows environment.

Strong C#/.NET Core or .NET Framework development experience.

Solid experience with UI automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or WinAppDriver.

Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.

Familiar with NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest.

Comfortable using Git and version control workflows.

Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and a solid grasp of SDLC and QA best practices.
Role is onsite (in Clear Lake) at first with some flexible hybrid after 90 day period.
