Description:
Our client is a privately held oil & gas company based in Dallas with a growing portfolio of assets in the Permian Basin. They are seeking an A&D Landman to support acquisition and divestiture activity, title review, and related land functions within a collaborative, fast-paced team.
Responsibilities
- Support evaluation and execution of A&D opportunities through title due diligence, lease and contract review, and ownership verification.
- Assist with drafting, interpreting, and negotiating basic land agreements, including assignments, conveyances, and related documents.
- Work closely with engineering and finance teams during deal evaluation and closing processes.
- Maintain accurate land records and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
- Support post-closing integration of acquired assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Land Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of land experience, ideally with exposure to both operated and non-operated assets.
- Solid understanding of land agreements and the ability to draft and interpret basic contractual language.
- Familiarity with Permian Basin assets strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively across disciplines in a deal-driven environment.
