Description:
Ignition Integrator / Developer (Oil & Gas)
Our client is seeking an experienced Ignition Application Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Ignition Perspective (v8.3) and a background in Oil & Gas SCADA integration. This role involves architecting, developing, and deploying Ignition-based applications that support remote data collection, visualization, and control for measurement and supervisory systems. The ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with customers to define project requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements and design robust Ignition-based SCADA solutions.
- Architect and develop applications within Ignition Perspective, including view and component design, tag integration, scripting, and responsive layouts.
- Support all project phases—from assisting pre-sales efforts and technical design through documentation, commissioning, and post-launch support.
- Execute special projects related to in-house and third-party automation software.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Business field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Ignition Developer/Integrator, including work with Ignition Perspective 8.3.
- Strong skills in view creation, component customization, scripting, and responsive design.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and system integration.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Knowledge of control systems is a plus.
- Additional experience with Visual Basic Scripting, VBA, Windows Server/Desktop OS, Microsoft SQL Server, CRM systems, and AUTOSOL ACM/AES is advantageous.

Role is local to Houston with flexible remote. In person onboarding is on site south of Houston.
