Description:

Walker Elliott is recruiting for Engineering Tech, Production (or Analyst) to join our oil and gas client in Houston. The Engineering Technician-Production will work closely with Production Engineers and Operations teams to support daily production activities through data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. This role is ideal for someone with prior upstream experience who is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets to support field operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production and Operations teams with data analysis and technical reporting

• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI, Spotfire, and Excel

• Track and report production performance, downtime, and operational KPIs

• Compile, validate, and analyze production data from internal systems and field inputs

• Assist Production Engineers with operational analysis, forecasting inputs, and performance reviews

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of production reporting across assets

• Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Geoscience, or related technical discipline preferred)

• Prior upstream oil & gas experience is required

• Previous experience supporting a production or operations team

• Strong analytical and data management skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong experience with Power BI and/or Spotfire

• Experience creating dashboards, automated reports, and performance metrics

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
