Job Detail: Senior Landman

Description:

• Manage and protect the company's leasehold position across Texas onshore assets by monitoring obligations, drilling commitments, and contract compliance.
• Negotiate oil and gas leases, surface agreements, and other land-related contracts in support of ongoing development activities.
• Coordinate title review and work directly with outside title attorneys to resolve title issues ahead of drilling operations.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, and Legal teams to ensure land matters are addressed efficiently and projects remain on schedule.
• Support an active drilling program by providing timely land guidance for multiple rigs operating simultaneously.
• Maintain relationships with mineral owners, partners, and regulatory agencies while serving as a key point of contact for land-related matters.
• Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence efforts, and other strategic projects as needed.
• Mentor junior land staff and contribute to continuous improvement of land processes and workflows.

• Bachelor's degree required. Petroleum Land Management, Energy Commerce, or a related discipline is preferred.
• In-house upstream E&P land experience.
• Texas onshore experience is required.
• Experience supporting multiple active drilling rigs and fast-paced development programs.
• Experience working directly with Texas regulatory agencies and permitting processes.
• Demonstrated experience directing outside title attorneys from an operational perspective, including title review and curative prior to drilling.
• Strong understanding of leasehold management, title analysis, ownership, drilling obligations, and oil & gas agreements.
• Experience negotiating leases, contracts, and other land-related agreements.

• Well-capitalized upstream operator with an active development program and long-term growth strategy.
• Highly visible role with direct interaction across executive leadership, Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, and Legal.
