Description:
Are you ready to join a rapidly growing investment firm that is poised to significantly expand its already multi-billion-dollar portfolio? This is an opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to play a meaningful role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing energy investments while working directly alongside senior leadership.
The firm offers highly competitive cash compensation, meaningful equity participation, and a clear path toward promotion to Vice President for top performers.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial, operational, and technical evaluations of energy assets and companies, with a primary focus on upstream oil and gas investments.
- Build, maintain, and own sophisticated financial models used to evaluate acquisitions, divestitures, corporate transactions, and investment opportunities.
- Lead valuation and due diligence efforts utilizing methodologies including discounted cash flow analysis, net asset value, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
- Evaluate capital structures, financing alternatives, and investment returns to support strategic decision making.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and investment committees.
- Support portfolio management initiatives and strategic projects across the firm's investment platform.
Requirements
- Experience in energy investment banking is required.
- Prior transaction experience involving upstream oil and gas assets, including A&D and corporate M&A transactions.
- Additional exposure to other energy verticals such as midstream, power, energy infrastructure, or energy transition investments is valued but not required.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of complex data with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial investment environment.
