Natural Gas Scheduler, onsite
Our client, a growing energy company with a strong presence in the natural gas market, is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler to join their Commercial team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the daily execution of physical natural gas transactions by managing pipeline nominations, optimizing gas flows, and partnering closely with commercial teams to ensure successful delivery of their trading strategy. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your decisions directly impact commercial performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with natural gas scheduling, pipeline operations, and transportation logistics, along with the ability to work collaboratively with traders, pipeline representatives, and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily natural gas nominations and scheduling activities across interstate and intrastate pipeline systems.
- Coordinate with trading and commercial teams to ensure physical gas movements align with market strategy and contractual commitments.
- Monitor pipeline flows, supply changes, imbalances, and operational constraints while supporting timely issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate scheduling and trade information within internal systems, including ETRM platforms.
- Track and reconcile daily and monthly imbalances, maintenance impacts, and cashout activity.
- Communicate regularly with pipeline operators, shippers, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to manage scheduling requirements.
- Participate in rotating after-hours support, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in natural gas scheduling, preferably supporting Gulf Coast and/or Southeast U.S. markets.
- Strong understanding of pipeline nominations, NAESB standards, EBB platforms, transportation agreements, and gas logistics.
- Experience working with major Gulf Coast pipeline systems is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with natural gas trading systems or ETRM platforms (ION OpenLink Endur experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data, identify discrepancies, and manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience creating reports and analyzing commercial data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
