BI Developer
Our industry leading Dallas client is looking for a strong Business Intelligence Developer - MS BI Stack with a significant strength working with Power BI and it's advanced capabilities.
This role will be involved in designing and implementing the solution around Power BI for reporting, data visualization, dashboards and using data visualization tools to generate informative analytics. Also responsible for meeting with the business to move things forward for gathering requirements to usher in an environment focused on reporting and analysis to improve decision making. This environment is right for a self-driven BI Developer with solid relationship building skills and a collaborative teamwork mentality
.
Responsibilities:
- ETL, SSIS, T-SQL, DAX and M - Power Query programming.
- Own the project of creating and implementing tools with Power BI to improve analytics.
- Take specifications and plan resource and data requirements.
- Verify integrity of data. If necessary, work with stakeholders to resolve issues with the data.
- Reporting for Financial data - P&L, Balance Sheet, etc...
- Governance management and documentation for security considerations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of MS SQL Server (TSQL) programming experience.
- 3+ years working with Power BI at an advanced level to architect their dashboards, data modeling and ETL processes
- Solid understanding of process mapping within the Power BI solution involving CI/CD pipelines, security, etc...
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with internal users to guide them toward successful solutions.
- Previous Reporting and Data integration experience required.
