Senior Facilities Engineer, hybrid, Houston
Our client is a financially strong, publicly traded upstream oil and gas company recognized for its disciplined growth strategy, operational excellence, and collaborative culture. They are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to lead the planning, design, and execution of production infrastructure projects supporting field development and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of new production facilities and facility improvement projects.
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering solutions from concept through startup.
- Manage multiple capital projects while ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.
- Partner with production, operations, construction, procurement, and HSE teams to support field development.
- Provide technical support for equipment selection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing facility optimization.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, standardize facility designs, and reduce operating costs.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and key performance metrics while coordinating contractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of facilities engineering experience within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Strong background designing and executing oil and gas production facilities, gathering systems, pipelines, compression, or related infrastructure.
- Experience managing engineering projects from concept through startup and turnover to operations.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Knowledge of project planning, capital budgeting, cost estimating, and project controls.
